Shaggy’s Harbor Bar & Grill is located directly on the beautiful Biloxi Beach and offers a
fun island ambiance with great food and enjoyment for everyone. You’re on vacation
every time you step foot in the door. From the delicious seafood, margaritas, and
relaxed atmosphere, to the breath-taking water views, Shaggy’s is a favorite
destination where you will always feel that you are among good friends, food, and fun
on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
Immediately following your relaxing lunch at Shaggy’s, the pleasure continues with a
truly unique way of enjoying the Mississippi Gulf Coast as you step on board an
authentic replica of a Biloxi oyster schooner. These “White Winged Queens’ once
sailed the Coast from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. However, with the
introduction of marine engines and the changes in oyster harvesting laws, these
beautiful crafts began to disappear. Fortunately the Maritime & Seafood Industry
Museum has recaptured a piece of history in their two famous schooners, the “Glenn
L. Swetman” and the “Mike Sekul.” When you step on board, the captain and crew
members welcome passengers with a pleasantly short list of dos and don’ts before

starting the ship’s motor to push away from the dock and out into the channel. Then
the crew hoists the sails, and the throb of the diesel is replaced by the creak of rigging
and the peaceful rush of water along the exterior. As the wind picks up you will enjoy
the stories shared by the captain about local seafaring and he might even let you take
a turn at the helm! Whether you choose to relax or find yourself coiling rope, helping
with the rigging, or hoisting a sail, you are sure to have a great time soaking up the sun
on your cruise with great views of the beautiful shoreline. (limited to the first 40
people)
